SHRM Greater Greensboro By-Laws: Membership

4.1 Qualifications for Membership, There shall be no discrimination in individual memberships because of race, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran's status, or any other legally protected class.

4.2 Requirement for Membership, Effective September 2019, active SHRM Membership is not a requirement for SHRM Greater Greensboro membership qualification and continuation of membership.

4.3 Non-transferability of Membership, membership in the Chapter is neither transferable nor assignable.

4.4 Individual Membership, Membership in the Chapter is held in the individual's name, not an organization with which the member is affiliated.

Professional - $150.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Persons in professional employment and primary career interest are in Human Resources. Faculty members or program administrators with responsibilities related to HR. Full-time consultants, HR service providers, or labor attorneys with three (3) years of experience in the HR field. Recent college graduates pursuing a position in HR and HR professionals actively seeking employment will be granted membership for one year or until work is found. Professionals who show bona fide interest in the HR field and show commitment to strengthening the Chapter.

Retiree Membership - $75.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Definition of a Retiree for Purposes of HRMAG:
- HR professional who has retired from active employment
- Been a member of HRMAG (Professional Membership) for 5 years and in good standing with HRMAG

Student Membership - $45.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Student Definition:

You are currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program. Students shall provide proof of enrollment in a college or university to qualify for student membership every year to the HRMAG Membership Director.

Also, required to be part a HRMAG sponsored HR chapter.

Students holding any form of a current HRMAG professional or retired membership are NOT ELIGIBLE to convert to student membership until their next renewal cycle.

Your coursework, taken or planned, supports an interest in Human Resource Management or related degree program (not a Certificate program).

Business Administration & Management
Industrial/Organizational Psychology
Labor Relations
MBA
MBA/HR
Organizational Behavior/ Organizational Development

HRMAG Student Membership is non-transferable and non-refundable, except in situations where an applicant does not qualify for student membership.
