 2020 HRMAG Board of Directors  

Katrina Gooch, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

President

 

The President is responsible for providing leadership and direction to HRMAG, directing and supporting the efforts of fellow Board Members, presiding over the Association meetings, scheduling and managing Board meetings, serving as liaison to SHRM National and the general public, ensuring that the Association By Laws are followed and facilitating the development of future HRMAG leaders.

 

 

 

Christine Kepic, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

1st Vice President

 

Develops and implements strategies to educate members and provide networking opportunities through monthly meetings, round table discussions, seminars, etc. Responsibilities include coordinating program speakers, meeting facilities/logistics, surveying members' views on monthly meetings/related activities, etc. Contributes timely, relevant information to HRMAG Weekly, website and to the membership. 

 

 

 

Olivia Jolly, SPHR, SHRM-CP

2nd Vice President

 

The 2nd Vice President shall assist the President and 1st Vice President in the direction of the Association’s affairs. Is responsible for making physical meeting arrangements, ensuring that partner/social sponsors are secure, and providing liaison with all parties to ensure that meetings function smoothly, in addition to other duties assigned by the President.

 

 

 

 

  

 

Veronica Bray, CFC, ARPC
Past President

 

As support and adviser to the President and the Board of Directors, will provide strategic and operational counsel to ensure the success of the organization. Assumes special projects as assigned by the President and the Board of Directors.

 

  

  

  

Chris Stanley, MBA

Treasurer

 

Manage or oversee the management of the financial affairs of the Chapter, often including such basic tasks as selecting a bank, reconciling bank statements, and managing cash flow.

 


 

 

 

 

   

Elaine Nield, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Secretary

 

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of regular meetings and the Board meeting, carry on the organization's correspondence and see that members are notified of the meetings.

 

 

 

 


     

 

Jill Bryant, CTS, TSC, CSP

Board Member at Large

 

Serves as advisor to fellow officers and directors and executes special projects at the discretion of the president and the board.

 

 

  

 

Pat Rudy, MA

Board Member At Large

Serves as committee member of the Board to the President and committee members on an as needed basis relying upon previous experience as chapter participants.

Volunteer Director


Coordinates all volunteer opportunities across HRMAG. Contact if you are interested in becoming a HRMAG volunteer. 

 

 

 

 

       

  

Tori Baker

Membership Director

Develops and implements strategies to recruit and retain members. Primary responsibilities include approving chapter membership applications and coordinating member-related activities such as managing the annual membership renewal campaign. Contributes timely, relevant information to HRMAG Weekly, website and to the membership.

 

 

 

    

 

Rachel Hughes, PHR, SHRM-CP

Certification Director

Coordinates and oversees all courses provided by HRMAG twice a year for professionals who desire to gain this designation. Provides information and direction as well as encouragement for participants to do their best in passing this difficult certification course. Submits each program for credit through the approval process. Keeps HRMAG aware and current with all changes and updates about certification.

 

 

 

  

Dace Hennessee, CTS, CSP

Members In Transition (MIT) Director

Responsible for the coordination, logistics, programming and sponsorship for all Members In Transition (MIT) meetings and activities. Dace and his committee members provide a monthly meeting and continuous support and networking for HR Professional who are unemployed (in transition) or seeking other employment/new opportunities. Paula Stop, CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP

Governmental Affairs Director

Develops and implements strategies on communicating national, state and local legislative regulations to chapter members. This includes keeping membership informed on pertinent Human Resources-related legislation, and communicating ways that members can express their opinions on behalf of the chapter to the appropriate legislative bodies.


 

 

Alia Fahmy

Workforce Readiness Director


Coordinates opportunities for members' organizations to support community programs aimed at preparing youth for tomorrow's workplace as well as programs aimed at the unemployed and underemployed through activities such as internships, mentoring programs, employee educational lunch-time seminars, etc.

Also, serves as an appointed member of the chapter board of directors.  Monitors and evaluates on a continuing basis local activities concerning military/veteran issues and plans and encourages chapter involvement and activities in this area.  Works in cooperation with state-level military advocates.

 



 

 

    

Tanya Beatty, SPHR,SHRM-SCP

College Relations /Scholarships & Awards Director

Develops and implements strategies for student SHRM chapters affiliated w
ith HRMAG. Responsibilities include establishing student chapters at an accredited college or university within the service area of HRMAG, providing guidance and assistance to the student chapter President in coordinating student chapter activities, providing opportunities for student chapter members to participate in HRMAG activities, and developing mentoring opportunities between student members and active HRMAG members. Contributes timely, relevant information to HRMAG Weekly, website and to the membership.

Also,responsible for administering the scholarship and awards programs.

 

 

 



Angela Mahoney, PHR, SHRM-CP

College Relations Director


Develops and implements strategies for student SHRM chapters affiliated with HRMAG. Responsibilities include establishing student chapters at an accredited college or university within the service area of HRMAG, providing guidance and assistance to the student chapter President in coordinating student chapter activities, providing opportunities for student chapter members to participate in HRMAG activities, and developing mentoring opportunities between student members and active HRMAG members. Contributes timely, relevant information to HRMAG Weekly, website and to the membership

 

 


 

    

Sherita Gatling, PHR, SHRM-CP

SHRM Foundation Director

 

Educates, promotes and represents the interest of the SHRM Foundation and its activities to the local chapter including fund raising, education, and championing the Foundation.

Hospitality Director

Coordinates all aspects of member registration for the majority of HRMAG events including monthly member meetings. Initiates chapter diversity goals and activities such as workshops on the benefits of diversity in the workplace, the development of mentoring programs with member organizations, etc. Contributes timely, relevant information to newsletter, website and to the membership.

Community Relations Director

 

Serves as an appointed member of the chapter board of directors.  Monitors and evaluates on a continuing basis community relations activities.
