Corporate and Organization Support for Transgender People: The Whys and Hows

During the past few years, there has been a huge increase in supporting transgender employees within the corporate sector and federal government.  With high profile transgender public figures like Chas Bono, Laverne Cox and most recently Caitlyn Jenner bringing increased visibility and acceptance of trans people, more trans people are “coming out” and undergoing the gender transition process.  This session will cover terminology, business rationale for supporting transgender employees, the gender transition process, corporate policies and procedures to support transgender people, available resources and more.
